SRP Cool Cash air conditioner and heat pump rebates
SRP lists $75 per ton for single-stage systems, $150 per ton for multi-stage systems, and $225 per ton for variable-capacity systems. Inverter-driven mini-split heat pumps can qualify for $225 per ton.
Who may qualify
A permanent SRP residential electric customer can qualify for a new central heat pump, central AC, or mini-split that replaces or supplements an existing system and meets the current efficiency rules. The system must be installed by an Arizona-licensed contractor before April 30, 2027.
Equipment rules
Qualifying equipment must be at least 15.2 SEER2 and listed in an AHRI Verified Directory. Central split systems require replacement of both the indoor air handler and condensing unit. Single-stage systems require a Manual J load calculation with the application.
Contractor rule
Use an SRP participating contractor. The contractor must be licensed in Arizona to install residential air-conditioning systems.
How to apply
Download the checklist, have the contractor sign the terms, and apply through SRP's Rebate Center. An email and hard-copy route is also listed for customers who do not create an online account.
Pre-approval
The current page describes an application after installation rather than a separate pre-approval step. Confirm the terms with SRP before equipment is ordered.
Timing and funding
Install the qualifying system before April 30, 2027 and submit the rebate within six months of installation. SRP limits customers to five high-efficiency cooling-system rebates.
Documents to keep
The application path can require the signed contractor agreement, paid invoice, completed application, and Manual J load calculation for a single-stage system.
